a trip around the world

As anyone who knows me well knows, I LOVE food.  Traveling for me is as much about seeing and experiencing new cultures as it is about exploring new flavors.  Here a few of my Thai favorites so far: still unidentified melon fruit (as modeled here by Dalisha), street food in it’s many varieties (we even saw a cart full of various bugs served up for the more adventurous eater), and the always deliscious sticky rice with magoes.

Our tuk tuk driver Tim (or was it Tom?).  He drove us all over Bangkok our first day for about $1.50, but we had to stop at some jewelery stores so he could get free gas for bringing us there.  He was very kind.

Dalisha and I are sitting at the airport waiting to board our 11.5 hour flight to Seoul South Korea where we will catch a 6 hour flight to my first destination: Bangkok. I am saying Goodbye to The cold Seattle weather, my job, my boyfriend, and the familiar. I am saying Hello to new faces, new food, new adventures, and all the new possibilities out there. So long For now Seattle, I’ll be back in a few months when the sun comes out
